1. Information We Collect

StudentCalcTools is designed with privacy first. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.

When you use our calculators, all computations happen entirely within your browser. Your grades, GPA inputs, and course data are never sent to our servers — because we don't have any servers storing user data.

The only information we receive is anonymous usage data through Google Analytics 4 (GA4), which includes:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• General geographic region (country/city level, not precise location)
• Browser type, device type, and operating system
• Referral source (how you found our site)
• Anonymous events like which calculator was used

2. How We Use Information

The anonymous analytics data we collect is used solely to improve StudentCalcTools. Specifically, we use it to:

• Understand which calculators are most useful to students
• Identify and fix usability issues or bugs
• Improve page load performance and mobile experience
• Decide which new tools to build based on user interest

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties. We never will.

3. Cookies

We use a minimal number of cookies, strictly limited to the following purposes:

• Google Analytics cookies — These track anonymous usage statistics (e.g. _ga, _gid). They expire within 2 years and 24 hours respectively.
• Theme preference cookie — We store your dark/light mode preference in localStorage so your choice is remembered between visits. This data never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service, which has its own privacy policy:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — Provides anonymized website traffic analytics. Data is processed by Google under their Privacy Policy. We have enabled IP anonymization in our GA4 configuration.
• Google Fonts — We load the "Plus Jakarta Sans" font from Google's servers. Google may log font requests, but this does not involve your calculator data.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, advertising networks, affiliate trackers, or any other third-party data services.

5. Data Security

Since we do not collect or store personal data, there is no personal data to secure on our end. All calculator inputs you enter remain exclusively in your browser's memory and are cleared when you close or refresh the page.

Our website is served over HTTPS, ensuring that your connection to StudentCalcTools is encrypted in transit.

6. Children's Privacy

StudentCalcTools is intended for students of all ages, including those under 13. Because we do not collect any personal information from any user, our service is inherently safe for children.

We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal data from children under the age of 13 (COPPA) or under 16 in the European Union (GDPR). If you believe a child has inadvertently submitted personal information through our site, please contact us immediately and we will address it promptly.

Our site complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
